Food for Thought
Taste, Discover, Understand
Food for Thought is a thought-provoking event on the Stroke Foundation calendar. It brings together people’s love of fine food and dining with the personal impact stroke has on many people’s lives.
The concept aims to discover – through fine food, photography and story – the impact of stroke on our community, to push the thought boundaries and raise funds for the Foundation. We ask guests to stop for a moment and remember how for some people life can change in just one moment.
These spectacular events are currently held in Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart. We invite a selection of the best chefs from each of these cities to present a course or canapés to our guests in a delicious twist on the traditional fundraising ball. On these nights the chefs are the entertainment and guests enjoy hearing and seeing how they created their tasty masterpieces.
These events also showcase a powerful photographic exhibition which challenged perceptions of stroke, highlighting that strokes can affect anybody at any age. Premium fundraising auction items were sold raising valuable funds for the Foundation.
