Know your numbers at Ekka

9th – 18th August, Royal Queensland Show (Ekka).

The National Stroke Foundation is offering Know your numbers health checks to all members of the community at EKKA 2012.  A health check includes: blood pressure, type 2 diabetes risk assessment and the provision of a range of resources including information on general health and lifestyle advice. As Queensland’s largest annual event more than 400,000 are expected to attend Ekka over 10 days. In partnership with St John Ambulance (QLD) and supported by QLD Health, Know your numbers is expected to check between 4000 and 5000 people during this time.

Health checks are available at:

  • National Stroke Foundation booth, Leisure and Lifestyle Pavilion
  • QLD Government Precinct
  • Any St John Ambulance first aid station
